Brothers Daniel McKewen (Uilleann pipes, guitar, bodhran) and John McKewen (bouzouki, tenor banjo, vocals) started the band with highschool friend Bryan Brookes (flute, whistle, concertina). They added Josh Franck (button accordion, vocals, bodhran). Later, Josh's dad Phil Franck (fiddle, bouzouki, 5-string banjo) was asked into the band. They all knew each other from church and expanded their playing out around Columbus and became regulars at the one and only Byrnes Pub, the Claddagh Pub, and the venerable Shamrock Club of Columbus. Theyve played a number of Irish festivals, but their yearly favorite remains playing The Dublin Irish Festival. However, the crown jewel of their accomplishments is when they received "Honorable Mention" at the prestigious Ottawa County Knockwurst show.
